Introduction – ENCQOR 5G Project
We are happy to announce our partnership with The Ontario Centres of Excellence. Through this project, our upgraded technology will make your wireless applications more robust, with wider coverage and additional features.
Audesse will be integrating a 5G modem into our FlexCase as well as improving our data pipeline. This will make data collection and analytics projects more robust and seamless. Soon the FlexCase will be available with the Quectel LTE BG96, offering a number of new features:
- Global 4G/5G LTE-M, NB-IoT with 2G fallback when needed
- GNSS for GPS, GLONASS, Beidou/Compass, Galileo, and QZSS location services
- Web portal to reprogram your FlexCase and seeing real-time data from its operation.
When paired with the edge compute capabilities of the FlexCase, the options are endless! Follow us to keep up to date when features become available.
Online Dashboard (Coming Soon)
Need to visualize your data, reprogram your FlexCase, or setup notifications?
The dashboard will let you do just that! The dashboard can be customized to display any relevant data in near real-time.

Our target is to have under 1 minute update rates for the non-critical web portal data.
Teleoperation and Remote Control
Need a high reliability, two-way real-time communication to your devices? The FlexCase can do that.
A reliable connection over the internet can be setup using the FlexCase and controlled with many tools, including ROS2, Simulink, or Python. Using teleoperation as an example, the FlexCase could be implemented in the following manner:
- Install the single FlexCase (or multiple for redundancy) into an existing system with the ability to control the vehicle (steering, throttle, and brake)
- Set up the torque feedback to ensure a natural driving experience.
- (If required) Add real-time video feedback by attaching a USB compatible camera to the FlexCase.
- Connect the FlexCase to the remote device with a real-time data stream.
The FlexCase is already being deployed in these types of applications in the autonomous electric bus project.
4G and LTE M coverage is already readily available across the globe. Our modems are not locked to a specific carrier, so we can work with you use your own data plan if you prefer.
