Advanced Electric Vehicle Solutions

Using Audesse’s cutting-edge technology platform, ensure your electric vehicle builds are successful with faster prototyping, reliable components, and advanced software integration

OEM Problems

There are a number of challenges that come with developing an electric vehicle. Audesse offers ready-made solutions for these common problems:

Common Problems Audesse’s Solution
Charging Requirements Our FlexCase support charge I/O and can act as an EVCC. I/O includes control pilot, proximity pilot, and powerline communication (PLC), allowing for AC (Level 1/2) & DC Fast Charging support. We also can support ISO 15118.
Depot Charging Limits When many vehicles share a limited grid connection, FlexConnect reads each vehicle’s state of charge and next departure, then throttles or pauses charging so the site stays under its limit.
New Powertrain Components Audesse can help select and integrate EV components like HV batteries, Motor controllers, DC/DC systems, and cabling. We ensure a balance range, cost, and lifespan.
Advanced Software Our state of the art controllers are designed to support advanced vehicles up to an ASIL D safety rating on 12 & 24V nominal systems. Use FlexConnect to collect actionable data and push updates remotely and securely.
V2X The advanced compute onboard the FlexCase can be used to enable various wireless technologies for many V2X applications.

Two-Way Control with FlexConnect

Most telematics only reads data and shows it on a dashboard. FlexConnect also sends control policies back to the FlexCase that runs the function. The cloud sets the rule, the FlexCase enforces it locally, and it keeps enforcing it when the cellular connection drops.

Every remote command is a supervisory request, such as a limit, a schedule, or an enable. The FlexCase keeps final authority over the vehicle, and commands can be authenticated from the cloud all the way to the controller that executes them.

FlexConnect for Electric Fleets

Depot Charging Orchestration: Keep the whole depot under its grid limit (for example, “stay under 40 kW”) while making sure every vehicle is ready for its next dispatch.

Battery Preconditioning: Warm or cool battery packs on shore power in very cold or hot yards, so range isn’t spent on conditioning after departure.

Other Shared Loads: Electric reefers and ePTO equipment on a limited site connection are the same problem, and FlexConnect coordinates them the same way.

Vehicle-to-Grid & Demand Response: Combine parked battery packs to provide grid services while protecting the energy each vehicle needs for its next route.
