Founded at the University of Waterloo, we have over 40 years of automotive industrial research and development experience working with many companies. Our collaborations include several consumer and heavy industry automotive companies, in addition to the creation of our own electric/hybrid/autonomous vehicles.

Rhyse Maryniuk
Rhyse MaryniukCEO • MASc Eng
Rhyse has been proficient with advanced automotive technology since 2012, building numerous electric vehicles and advanced systems throughout his career. He is regularly the lead for engineering projects and organizations, directing teams over 50. Rhyse has excelled academically and professionally, receiving the gold medal in mechanical engineering and numerous awards.
Connor Fry Sykora

Connor is an outstanding automotive control and design engineer who has worked with Rhyse for over a decade. He brings industry experience from General Motors, where he integrated safety-critical software on production vehicles. He is applying that experience and passion for excellence into the commercial version of our product.
Amir Khajepour
Amir KhajepourCSO • Prof. Eng., PEng
Amir is a globally recognized expert in the modelling and control of dynamic systems and has been working in vehicle research for over 20 years. His research has resulted in over 25 patents and patent applications, several technology transfers, and start-up companies. Amir holds the Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Mechatronics Vehicle Systems and Senior NSERC/General Motors Industrial Research Chair in Holistic Vehicle Control.

Amir is a gifted engineer who has consistently excelled in his academic and professional career and brings his proficiency to Audesse. He has received numerous awards for his intellect, including the International Physics Olympiad. Amir is excited to bring his knowledge of machine learning for vehicle control and estimation to the Audesse team.
Omar Naman

Omar is an accomplished alumnus of the University of Waterloo Computer Science program. His passion for software development in the realms of networking, security, and IoT is evidenced by his outstanding academic achievements and numerous accolades in programming competitions. Fluent in both English and Arabic, Omar brings a substantial reservoir of expertise and competencies to the Audesse team.

Tony is an advisory board mentor for Audesse in addition to his role as a Co-founder at Miovision and Entrepreneurship and Product Mentor at the Accelerator Centre. His experience building Miovision into a global technology company has been invaluable to Audesse. Tony assists Audesse with our strategic vision, scaling plans and strategy, and improving our operational KPIs.
