in reply to: PWM on LSO affecting HSO output. #19409
Hey Amir,
I wasn’t able to recreate the exact conditions in which we faced the issue, but I did still get some measurements for you. Let me know if these are helpful.
Vdiff is the difference in voltage between the System ground and the VCU ground planeI had to measure the Voltage on a different pin on the same bank as before due to the pin we were using before abruptly not working. I noticed no difference in voltage in on this pin.
We also measured the Inductance of the Solenoids, It came out as 187mH

I believe you need the FCG pro with the rock chip Module on board to use the ethernet communication. You can wire the FCG according to the Datasheet that is provided on the website, use the Orange and green wires for basic communication and the others if you need higher bandwidth. You can write your scripts in python for the Rockchip to communicate your display.
Hope this helps.

Have you been able to check further on this?
in reply to: PWM on LSO affecting HSO output. #19208Hi Amir,
Thanks for the quick reply. To answer your questions, the solenoids are 8W each running ON A 24v power supply. We measured the current on a couple of the solenoids at the when we were running the test and found it to be around 120mA each when PWM is on. During our testing we only turned on all the solenoids a couple of times. Most of the time we turn on 6 solenoids at a time. So the max current running through the LSOs would come out to around 2A.
The HSOs are not driving any of the solenoids in the current configuration. Previously they were driving half the solenoids, but we noticed the same issue of the voltage dropping after activating multiple solenoids and this would cause issues with the activation of subsequent solenoids. They would either not turn on or would chatter. This was why we shifted all the solenoids to the LSOs
We have used external flyback diodes on all the solenoid LSOs.
Considering that even the calculated value for the current is around 5.5A, would you still like me to run the check you have mentioned? I do not have an estimate for the inductance right now but I’ll update the post once I get that.
Thanks,
Nikhilin reply to: Flashed software not working on restart. #17138After some experimentation, I found that this was an issue with using the CAN linker. I found that my default linker was swapped with the CAN linker and so my file was being flashed with this linker. Will make sure to separate these in the future.
Thanks

Yes, our use case is for storing calibratable parameters. Can you guide me on how we can go about adding these to our software?
Thanks
