Government of Canada invests in Canadian innovation to combat auto theft

Excited to share that Audesse Automotive has been selected by the Government of Canada for funding under the Innovative Solutions Canada Vehicle Theft Prevention challenge.

We’re one of three Canadian companies chosen to develop a prototype anti-theft technology. Ours is a smart automotive switch that prevents unauthorized vehicle starts by communicating with the driver’s phone.

This funding, announced by Transport Canada in collaboration with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, is validation that the problem we’ve been building to solve is a national priority. Auto theft is a serious public safety issue tied to organized crime, and we believe connected vehicle technology is a meaningful part of the answer.

We’re proud to represent Kitchener and the broader Canadian automotive innovation ecosystem. Prototype development is underway, and more updates are on the way.
