Riders Have Concerns About Getting Back on Public Transit

Safety is top of mind for public transit passengers. Almost three-quarters of previous public transit users who felt safe returning to their physical workplace reported being “very” or “extremely” concerned about using public transit (74%) (Stats Canada Report).

What Can Be Done About It?

The Canadian government has released the COVID Alert app in Ontario, which to date has been downloaded nearly 2 million times. It helps by letting people know of possible exposure to COVID.

One of the things our team can do to help is add COVID Alert to our existing anti-idle device, which would give transit agencies a number of benefits:

  • Know when a COVID positive patient may have contaminated a vehicle with COVID-19.
  • Assure riders that no known COVID positive rider has been onboard.
  • Allow cleaning staff to pay extra attention to a particular vehicle, which may have COVID onboard.

How Can Audesse Help?

We can add these features to our existing Anti-idle device, so that you can take advantage of fuel savings and COVID safety. If you currently have units installed, or would like to arrange an installation, please get in touch through our contact page.
